John Galliano to Design Theatrical Costumes For Stephen Fry?

Rumored to be designing the costumes for the role of Lady Bracknell once more, John Galliano already has some practice in this area. Although the first time around the part was played by Judi Dench – if speculation is true – Galliano will providing the wardrobe for Stephen Fry in the new theater production of the classic comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest.

Although it has not been confirmed, Fry, who is also directing the play is said to be in talks with the famous designer, although there are also suggestions that Roland Mouret and Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton could design alongside Galliano for the menacing character.

Whether one of the three aforementioned  end up creating the costumes – or another talented fashion designer pips them to the post – the show must go on. And that show is set to open next year, although a venue hasn’t been confirmed it is believed the play the will likely debut at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
