Woody Allen’s Café Society premiered at Cannes this year to positive reviews and a new poster and trailer has hit the internet today, both showing off the film’s leading trio Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively and Kristen Stewart.
Set in the 1930’s, Woody Allen’s bittersweet romance follows young Bronx-born Bobby Dorfman (Eisenberg) who leaves New York for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. After landing a job with his uncle in the pursuit of an exciting career, Bobby falls for Vonnie who happen’s to be his employer’s mistress.
Bobby settles for friendship and returns to the Bronx and begins working in a nightclub, where things fall into place and he finds romance.. until Vonnie walks back into his life and captures is heart once again.
Café Society takes you on journey from rough and tumble New York to the sparkling surfaces and secret scandals of Manhattan high life.
