Your favorite girls are back! Last year, Netflix announced it would be reviving the much loved series, Gilmore Girls, and fans everywhere rejoiced. The revival will take the form of four 90-minute episodes chronicling “a year in the life.” Nearly all major cast members are returning, including Lauren Graham (Lorelei), Alexis Bledel (Rory), Scott Patterson (Luke), Kelly Bishop (Emily), and Melissa McCarthy (Sookie). Three of Rory’s paramours including Matt Czuchry (Logan), Jared Padalecki (Dean), and Milo Ventimiglia (Jess) will join the series to (hopefully) answer the question plaguing all fans’ minds: Who does Rory end up with? So basically, we’re freaking out.
The official trailer was released last month, and everyone freaked out about it (as they should be). What we know so far: the series is chock full of witty Gilmore banter, life didn’t quite work out as planned for Rory (who might be working at Chilton), and Emily is now a widow after the passing of her husband Richard (a tribute to actor Edward Herrman, who passed away in 2014).
I’ve already watched the trailer multiple times, finding something new to obsess over with each view. I can barely contain myself until the mini-series is released next month. Check out the official trailer for yourself (you’ll be obsessed)!
Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life is out on Netflix today – happy binge watching!
