Gigi Hadid and Olympic decathlete Ashton Eaton ‘go for fashion gold’ on the cover of Vogue.
The Olympics 2016 fever is here and everyone is eagerly anticipating the upcoming games this August. In a special Olympics issue, Vogue‘s August cover story have introduced a supermodel and a world class olympian.
In a series of epic and powerful photos, fashion photographer Mario Testino captured Gigi Hadid and Ashton Eaton in a beautiful portrayal of colour, movement and form.
Although it may sound like an odd coupling for a shoot, the pair are united in a wonderful synergy of form, and for Gigi’s first American Vogue cover, it is sure a memorable one. Oh, and we also now know that Gigi can sure jump.
Gigi is no stranger to sports, her father was an Olympian skier – information that she shares fondly with Ashton, who is posed to be the face of the 2016 games in Brazil. The magazine features a conversation between the two as they meet and chat about their differing lifestyles, even with Gigi asking Ashton out his diet. Are there any similarities between a model and sports star? Perhaps…
