Lana Del Rey and boyfriend, Barrie James O’Neill, from Scottish band Kassidy, cover Nancy Sinatra’s “Summer Wine. The real life couple performed a beautiful rendition and filmed a low-budget music video to accompany it which shows the couple hanging out on the beach and a relaxing on a balcony while singing along to the track. The grainy film quality and summer inspired video is reminiscent of Del Rey’s earlier work in “Video Games” and “Blue Jeans.”
Lana is currently working on a second album to follow up to her 2012 ‘Born to Die’ album which she has described as “a little more stripped down but still cinematic and dark.”
A release date has not yet been released but if this cover is any indication of the creative direction that she will take for her second album, then we know that Lana will not disappoint.
