The sequel to one of our all time favorites, Love Actually, is set to come out next week and we absolutely cannot wait, given it only took 14 years to make another one! The twist: the sequel is only ten minutes long.
Love Actually 2, which has also been referred to as Red Nose Day Actually, is set to air on BBC1 sometime next week (stay tuned, as the official date has not been released) and is all meant to be a charity film for Red Nose Day.
The cast has been fairly tightlipped on what to expect, though we’ve seen a number of pictures from set, as well as a teaser trailer featuring Andrew Lincoln reenacting the famous scene when his character professed his love for Keira Knightley’s character using cue cards.
A huge number of the original cast will be returning, save for Laura Linney and Rodrigo Santoro, and unfortunately Emma Thompson, who says it is too soon after her co-star (and on-screen husband) Allan Rickman’s death. Among the returning, are Rowan Atkinson, Marcus Brigstocke, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Keir Charles, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Martine McCutcheon, Lucia Moniz, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy and Olivia Olson.
We’re very curious to see how all the relationships and stories from the original Love Actually will play out in ten minutes, but one thing’s for sure, we’ll be watching!
