The annual CFDA awards is undoubtedly one of the biggest nights in the fashion year, honouring the best design talents and drawing some of the biggest names in the fashion industry alongside other notable fashionistas, models, and muses to get fully fashion-ed up for the nights awards ceremony.
The stars did not disappoint, sporting all of their favourite designers.
This year, we saw trends that incorporated bright colors, and it seemed that all of the Victoria’s Secret Angels were out on the carpet looking at their immaculate best – although we did raise an eyebrow at Lily Aldridge’s questionable shoe choice. Take a look at some of the best, and most stand-out looks from the night.
The Angels
Several Victoria’s Secret angels were seen on the red carpet, looking as flawless as ever. Miranda Kerr wore a beautiful, blue jewel toned dress by Proenza Schouler while Alessandra Ambrosio looked like a Grecian goddess with a one shoulder, white, floor length dress. Lily Aldridge looked impeccable in The Row, although her red kitten heels looked a bit like bed slippers to us.

Taste the Rainbow
Dresses in the brightest, most saturated hues seemed to be a major trend on the CFDA red carpet, with Sofia Vergara and Kerry Washington both opting for floor length gowns in stand out colors.

Half-way There
This section is dedicated to all those that looked great, but seemed to be missing one or two articles of clothing. Perhaps they were rushed for time and forgot to add the final touches.

New Comers
Lots of up-and-coming stars hit the carpet. Hailee Steinfeld, the star of the latest film adaptation of ‘Romeo and Juliet’ looked classy standing alongside her co-star wearing Suno. Elizabeth Olsen showed her support for her family by wearing The Row and walking the carpet alongside sister and fashion designer Mary-Kate Olsen. Ireland Baldwin, daughter of Alec Baldwin, is making a name for herself in the modeling and acting industry- she was recently signed to IMG models- and might we add she looked stunning in her red floor-length gown.

Hats off to…
Now we recognize some of our favorite looks from the night. Nicole Richie wore a draping dress that made her look like she was wearing liquid gold. Olivia Palermo was a bit more daring with her look, but we appreciate the effortless flare she has for mixing different patterns and always standing out as unique against the other classic red carpet gowns. Here are some of our overall favorites.
