When I first saw this lipstick I was palpably excited because in lip terms an impossibility, a phenomenon, something where two opposites meet has been created. You get vibrant colour and you get an oil base moisturising glide and go shine. You know when you wear some lipsticks and they’re comfortable – I have lips that chap and chafe easily and I love deep pigments so I’m constantly having to do lip masks and lip balms. With this you get balm and colour all at once.
It’s packaged in a classic YSL gold and pink. It looks cinematically glamorous and clicks shut like a movie star. It’s so shiny, so comforting, yet at the same time vibrant and impactful.
There are 36 shades but the most beautiful are the red ones – Rouge Spencer and Rouge a Danger. It’s £27 which is expensive for a lipstick but this one provides so much it’s an investment.
