Wouldn’t you like to settle down in a place named L’Hôtel de Sénecterre? Apparently so would Yves Saint Laurent. The fashion house is moving its Parisian atelier to the Left Bank, where it will reside in a romantic-looking (duh, it’s in Paris) and impressive 17th-century building at 24, rue de l’Université.
The townhouse is no random choice of relocation. The Parisian area has stood as an inspiration for the designs of YSL in the past and the building itself shares in the history, dating back to 1688. Now, it will house the ready-to-wear boutique and upcoming couture salons opening in the Autumn.

It won’t be too much of a trek from its current location in the Artemis headquarters on the Place François 1er. Whilst the head design studio will continue to remain in LA, where the brand’s creative director Hedi Slimane currently lives.
