The good news! According to LVMH boss Bernard Arnault, the hotly anticipated Foundation Louis Vuitton museum will open on the 26th October.
The bad news. It’s not in London. Darn it! France have decided (rather selfishly we think) to keep their very French brand’s museum within its Parisian walls. It will be on the outskirts of Paris though, not the centre, and take up a whopping 126,000 square feet of the Jardin d’Acclimatation. Within it will be 11 galleries, which will play home to LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton’s art collection.

Ad hoc, specially commissioned exhibitions will also take centre stage as and when, and performances and events will run throughout the years in the audotorium.
According to Jean-Paul Claverie, ‘It will express the artistic, cultural and emotional values, as well as the art of living, promoted by Bernard Arnault and the LVH group, but it is a truly charitable foundation, devoted to the public as a whole.’
Well for us, it will be added to that classic ‘Paris must-see’ list, alongside the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, and the Louis Vuitton store bien sur!
