We’re all for antibacterial hand gels. They’re convenient, they’re dinky, and they’re effective. But goodness they dry our hands out! Whilst there’s something strangely satisfying about the cool, breeze-like effect of the alcohol like substances evaporating off the skin, it always leaves your hands crying out for hydration.
So Lanolips’ new launch, their Lanolips Antibacterial Hand Cream (£8.99) is rather exciting. It does the same job as an antibac gel, whilst hydrating. It has been proven to kill 99.9% of germs including the dreaded E.Coli, but is infused with lanolin, aloe vera and all the nourishing properties that come with them.
You’ll find yourself wanting to apply this all day, and its quite safe to do so. It has emerged that a common ingredient in a lot of hand gels, Triclosan, has not yet been approved by the FDA, they are taking time to study it but it seems to be something of a worry. Tests show that it can be easily absorbed into the bloodstream and even found its way into the breast milk of expectant mothers. Slightly scary. But Lanolips’ Antibacterial Hand cream has undergone multiple development stages and doesn’t contain a trace of the stuff.
We’d say this is a must-buy this season, whether you need a hand cream or a dinky stash of antibacterial magic.
