No one likes the appearance of split ends. It literally means your strands of hair are splitting at the end. In many cases, this is considered normal and not something to worry about. However, it does indicate that your hair is not in perfect health and, more importantly, it doesn’t look great.
Research shows that good-looking hair makes you feel great and more confident. In other words, you need to eliminate those split ends, and simply cutting them off every time isn’t an option!
The good news is that it is easier than you think to repair the split ends and prevent your hair from breaking.

The Right Product
Split ends are generally a result of dehydration. This can be through a lack of water getting to the hair or because the water has evaporated when using heat tools or spending too much time in the sun. In fact, even something as simple as using the wrong shampoos and conditioners can cause your hair to become dehydrated and split ends to develop.
Choose a collection, such as the purple shampoo range, that gives you a product for your hair type and doesn’t have harsh chemicals in it. This will prevent the natural oils from being stripped from your head, which harsh chemicals tend to do.
By stopping this, the oils can coat each hair strand, helping them to shine and protecting them from damage or dehydration.
Brushing
It is best not to brush your hair when it is wet, this increases the strain on each strand and follicles, effectively increasing the likelihood of damage or breakage. If you need to brush it when wet use a wooden brush and preferably one that has boar bristles. Always start at the bottom of your hair and brush in small sections, holding the hair above where you are brushing also reduces strain.
Wash Regularly
One of the biggest mistakes that most people make is to wash their hair every day. If you have oily hair then this is necessary. But, other hair types, especially dry hair, should be washed every other day. This prevents you from washing out the oils which offer natural protection
If you need to wash between washes a dry shampoo can be effective.
Moisturizing Products
It is important to use moisturizing products in your hair and heat protection. The moisturizing products literally add moisture to your hair, helping it to stay hydrated and healthy. At the same time, the heat protection spray stops the sun’s rays from drying out and damaging your hair. They can also help to protect your hair when you are using heat styling tools. These are known to dry out hair and you should ideally avoid using them every day. Even giving your hair one day off can make a difference!
Deep Condition
Once a week it is a good idea to choose a deep conditioner from your favorite shampoo range and use it. Simply apply it to wet hair and leave it in place for between ten and thirty minutes. The conditioner should match your hair type and will add needed nutrients as well as hydrating your hair. Hydrated hair doesn’t usually suffer from split ends.
