There has been many a Chanel exhibition, but none that has been so dedicated to showing off her life of travel as the exhibition that will take up residency in Seol and run from the 30th August to the 5th october at the new Dongdaemun Design Plaza, in a building by Zaha Hadid.
The exhibition, called ‘The Sense of Places’ will feature more than 500 photographs, books, pieces of art, manuscripts, and other objects, as well as fashion pieces, jewellery, accessories, watches and of course the perfumes.
The show will be divided into 10 sections, focusing on different areas of Gabrielle Chanel’s life, and the different locations that inspired her.
The fashion house said that the exhibition will celebrate the ‘true spirit of Chanel, and shed light on the real and imaginary life of one of the foremost creators of the 20th century’.
