James Brown is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential personalities within music, but few know of how he started out. His childhood was impoverished, and it was his sheer determination and self belief that got him to where he was. Chadwick Boseman brings the larger than life character to life under the direction of Tate Taylor, who’s most recent success was four-time Academy Award nominated blockbuster The Help.
