Our social media newsfeed is slowly leaking the breaking news about a new Chanel No.5 fragrance today, revealing nothing but a video and image of a gorgeous floral field with miles of pink roses…
All we know just yet is that the fragrance is said to be launching this September 2016, and has been hashtagged with #NewChanel5 and #ChanelGrasse.
Long before a spritz of Chanel perfume reaches your skin, the creation process begins with a flower. For Chanel No.5, those flowers are May Rose and Jasmine, and twice a year those flowers are harvested in Grasse, France.
As May Rose and Jasmine is within the scent of every iconic bottle of No.5; we can assume Chanel are going to stay in keeping with their signature blend, but introducing a whole new twist.
