How I Live Now is based on the novel by Meg Rosoff and directed by Kevin Macdonald. It tells the story of Daisy (Saoirse Ronan), a teenager in New York who is sent to England to stay with her cousins in the countryside, Edmond (George MacKay), Isaac (Tom Holland), and Piper (Harley Bird). Daisy is initially reluctant in her visit, but warms to her surroundings as she begins to discover that her late mother also used to stay there.

Her postcard picture settings are entirely disrupted when a nuclear bomb is detonated in London, and, as a US citizen, she is told to evacuate England. Her love for Eddie her eldest cousin, and her love for the place surrounding her prompt Daisy to burn her travel documents and remain in England. The rest of the film sees Daisy and her cousins suffer separation, capture and emotional turmoil.
How I Live Now is out on Blu-ray and DVD on 10th February. Pre-order here.
