Based on an incredible true story, Race is the film about Jesse Owens (Stephan James), the legendary athletic superstar who becomes a track and field sensation in the early 1930’s. His quest to become the greatest athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics; where he faces off against Adolt Hitler’s vision of Aryan supremacy.
With guidance from his coach Larry Snyder (Jason Sudeikis), Owens gains national recognition for breaking numerous records. After heated debates and tension during this time, the United States decides not to boycott the Olympics in Nazi Germany. Overcoming racism at home and abroad, Owens seizes the opportunity to show Berlin and the the world that he is the fastest man alive.
