TREND ALERT: Statement Sunglasses

June 10, 2015

By Madeline Nave

Round, reflective, ombre, oh my! Say goodbye to neutral tones and have fun on the wild side. Statement sunglasses are the perfect accessory. Celebrities are wearing fairly bright and patterned sunnies so I’ve found some alternatives for the ever so normal daily pair.

I’m a fan of tortoise shell frames and absolutely adore the sunglasses Kate Hudson was seen wearing in London this last week. For a cheaper alternative to her Jonathan Saunders glasses, I came across two brilliant pairs on House of Fraser’s website, a Miss KG pair and a Whistles pair.

Cat eye sunglasses can seem a bit massive, but they’re great sunnies. I think the shape of the frames require color and Urban Outfitters has a fabulous pair.

Rainbow ombre lenses with a striking color frame are easy to pair with a neutral outfit. Gwen Stefani normally has such cool sunglasses, find the one she’s wearing on the Quay website.
